Grandma’s Best is a company that was started more than 50 years ago. The company is now run by a small group of family members related to the grandmother who built the business from the ground up. Grandma’s Best is located in Spokane, Washington; the sales of the company come from candy, chocolates, and cookies throughout the United States. They have just begun to expand internationally. Currently, the brands of Grandma’s Best are considered premium products which are sold at reasonable yet comparable prices of their competitors. In the market in recent times, the sales of candy as well as cookies have increased a significant amount in the United States. The candy and cookie market has been dominated by a number of large companies for years; the candy market includes Hershey Food Corporation, M&M, Mars, and Nestle. The cookie market has been overtaken by Nabisco and Keebler Company for the most part. The executives of Grandma’s Best believe the company has great experience in these various markets and can position the firm to capitalize on growth opportunities.
