Rose supports his claims by describing the different situations he had to encounter with the lack of the school system, the hopelessness of the teachers and his peers, that lead those students with no support to lead them in a direction of success. Rose purpose is to point out that; all that it was needed was a teacher that cared enough to teach and to influence those students to succeed and to never hinder the student’s learning experience because anything is possible with an little of an encouragement. In the 8th paragraph in “I Just Wanna Be Average,” Rose describes what it felt like

Because of this, many reform movements arose to change the United States to include really represent these ideals. Andrew Jackson, a man of the people, got more people to vote. To start with, the argument states that there is no reason why a policy like Garville 's shouldn 't work equally well in Waymarsh. The claim underlies the assumption that the city of Garville is similar to that of Waymarsh. But the author provides absolutely no evidence about it. Due to this unfair assumption, the argument of the author is greatly weakened. It is possible that the population in Garville is less than that in Waymarsh, and it is easy for people to commute, regardless of a traffic jam.
“Grant’s daily interactions with his students result in feelings of displacement and disillusionment. Andrew Jackson is one of the most controversial US presidents. Some say that his use of his powerful position and his actions for the common man make him a hero. Others say that his abuse of the presidency and role in Indian Removal make him a despot. As James Parton (a biographer of the president) wrote in 1859, Jackson was an “urbane savage”, meaning that he was refined, yet uncontrolled at the same time (PBS). However, “savage” more closely describes Jackson’s actual reign over America, as he abused his presidential position.

Throughout Jackson's eight years in office he expanded voting rights to all white men. He believed that the basis for a white man voting should not be based upon how much land they owned. He made it to where land ownership didn’t dictate a white man’s ability to vote.

"We couldn't have been more wrong".
The diversity of student backgrounds, abilities and learning styles makes each person unique in the way he or she reacts to information. The intersection of diverse student backgrounds and active learning needs a comfortable, positive environment in which to take root.
