Greek Mythology can take people to many different places in their imagination. They can teach people lessons and it can sometimes be inspiring. You can see things that you didn’t understand at first from a different perspective and it can change the way you think about certain things. In Greek Mythology, some important lessons are to be nice with your words, listen to your parents, and not to lie.

The moral of Daedalus & Icarus was to listen to your parents because they know best. Icarus’s dad, Daedalus was telling him not to fly too high but Icarus did it anyway. “Now remember don’t fly too high!” called Daedalus,but his words were drowned by the screaming of the seagulls. His own father could only watch as Icarus hurdled head first into the glittering sea.” (Daedalus & Icarus.) Icarus learned to listen to his father. Phaethon had told the son of Zeus that his father, the god of the sun, lets him ride the sun chariot alone. The son of Zeus didn’t believe him so Phaethon went to his father and begged him to let him ride the chariot alone.His dad had some rules though. The main rule his father said that was very important was to stay in the middle and not to go too high or too low. “Phaethon thought to himself, I can’t understand why my father was making such a fuss. This is easy. For me anyway. Perhaps, I’m a natural born coachman though…” Phaethon gets an idea to go to the lower area. “When they reached his village, he was horrified to see the roofs bursting into fire. The trees burned. People rushed about screaming.”Phaethon learned his father was right and not to lie. As a result of lying, Phaethon died and went too far down. He got punished for that by getting killed by
