Religion. Most societies are based around them. In fact, some of the most successful societies and civilizations are based off their own religion. Some of the most successful being Greek, Buddhism, and Hebraism. Yet which society was most effective in creating order out of chaos? Although Greek and Buddhism have effective ways of creating order out of chaos, Hebraism has the best methods. Greek was one of the most successful civilizations during its time, and is still remembered today as a great society. Thanks to the Greeks, we have learned many things about Math, Science, and many other things. Greek Philosophers such as Plato and Socrates dedicated their lives to learning, and didn’t fear death. Buddhism, however, emerged around the same time as the Greek empire, Buddhism is still widely practiced world wide. This religion is mostly based on peace, and those who truly practice this religion dedicate their lives to finding inner peace and ultimate knowledge. They find this inner peace and knowledge through meditation, pondering on their lives, previous lives and deaths, and what happens after death. Gotama, more commonly known as Buddha, was the first to discover inner peace and ultimate knowledge. He left his plush life as a prince behind to ponder beneath a tree, seeing what Hell was like and concluding that no matter what, humans were doomed to eternal torture and the only way out was to find inner peace. A few examples being when God destroyed the majority of the human population during the “Great Flood” and killing all but Noah and his family and a female and male pair of every animal, bug, and bird. Another example can be found when God persuades Abraham, the founder of Judaism, to bring his son up into the mountains, and sacrifice him. He did this to get Abrahama to prove how loyal he was to God, but thankfully did not kill his son, but instead sacrificed a goat stuck in a thicket of thorns nearby. Lastly, one of the most shocking examples was “Passover”. While the Hebrews were enslaved in Egypt, God sent a man named Moses to warn the Jews that he would be passing over that night, and that they were to slay a male lamb that was a
