Football had a confusing way of starting. It all started with one man. To start, “William (Pudge) Heffelfinger, was openly paid $500 to play the game. Thus pro football made its debut more than 100 years ago.”(“Pro Football Hall of Fame”). Before this no man had made money to play football in history, making him the very first football who was payed to play for a team. No one can/will break this record. CBS still airs football like Monday Night Football(MNF). Finally, “Running back Gale Sayers, set an NFL record for most touchdowns by a rookie in a season with 22 (which is still the record today)” 22 touchdowns in a NFL rookie season is very challenging to get even today. The highest touchdown count in one season ever is 28. In all football has influenced running back rookies to beat Gale Sayers rookie year season touchdown record. Also, players getting recruited and CBS airing MNF and other
