The Confederate army in Murfreesboro was commanded by Gen. Braxton Bragg. Bragg had just returned from invading Kentucky before he arrived in Murfreesboro. In Kentucky, he had commanded the Army of Mississippi, and then he was joined my Maj. Gen. Kirby Smith’s army. This new combined army of around 38,000 was renamed the Army of Tennessee. The idea of race and ethnicity is socially constructed, which allowed the Jewish Americans to make a contribution in the making of social identities in the United States. They were originally named the Dallas Chaparrals, then the Texas Chaparrals, which both played in the ABA, but then were changed to the San Antonio Spurs in 1973 and joined the NBA in 1976. Now the Spurs are one of of the best, if not the best, basketball franchises ever. I think that they are the best because of their consistency of winning.

The Green Packers look like they are going to go to the Super Bowl this year with one the best teams they have had in a few years. Aaron Rodgers looks to lead them to a lot of victories this season. Ethnic Notions: Divided From The Start The film 'Ethnic Notions ' illustrates various ways in which African Americans were impersonated during the 19th and 20th centuries. It follows and shows the development of the rooted stereotypes which have generated bias towards African Americans. If a film of this kind had such an affectionate influence on me, it is no surprise people adopted these ideas back then. The use of new and popular media practices in those days was more than adequate in selling the black inferiority to the general public.
This situation was demonstrated by how Kracha immigrated alone before he sent for his wife, Elena. Throughout the novel, many Americans looked down upon new immigrants because of the idea that more time in America made a citizen more American. At the beginning of the novel, white citizens rejected eastern Europeans as true Americans. This idea was reflected by an American of Irish descent who taunted Kracha, a first-generation immigrant, by calling him a greenhorn, meaning a newly arrived immigrant. Later on, Kracha then used racial slurs toward the black community.
One reoccurring theme that is present in the Holocaust is a change of identity with everyone involved. The incidents people confronted, especially the Jews, during this harsh time was life changing and traumatic. The identity of many in the concentration camps changed; young and innocent children developed into mature men. One way they did this was by creating communities all over New York. Jews slowly began moving out of their old homes in the Lower East Side and Harlem as black families began to move in. From the 1970’s until the 1990’s, many Jews moved to the Upper West and Upper East side as well as Riverdale. These communities all had distinct traditions and affiliations which welcomed many different types of Jews to New York. Some Jews stayed religiously observant, sending their children to day schools and being members of a synagogue, while others left their religion behind and often intermarried.
