Our Story: Greg and I are convinced of the truth of this Biblical view of sex. We have observed it in His Word, and have also seen and experienced it in the healing He’s worked in our lives. Greg and I experienced God-given and God-honoring renewal of our minds, and our sexual relationship when He brought these pieces together.

I am not suggesting that in the act of sex we enter into a state of “holy worship” which generates a climate that is pious and focused on God to the exclusion of one another. Quite the contrary! We may not think of this picture much at all during our times of intimacy together. Nonetheless, these truths had a practical impact on each of us, and how we honor and understand one another. I am thankful and praise God! He knew all along that I could never live up to His perfect standard, while living in Satan’s domain (this world). God did not give all of those laws with the goal that I would attain perfection. The true purpose of the law follows in 3:20b. God gave us many laws in order to demonstrate to each of us our inability to live up to His standard of goodness. His goal was to demonstrate how broken our relationships are with other people as well as our relationship with Him. The Law demonstrated that each of us fail to measure up to His goodness as a result of sin. This leads to the question of God’s desire and His expectation for me. Jesus lived the life that none of us could. He understood God’s plan and expectation. He understood our inability to attain a perfect standard of right living, and so He condensed God’s standard into two comprehensible statements. Read what He had to say in Matthew
