National Steel Car Gregory Aziz is easily recognized as the current Chairman and CEO of National Steel Car, a position he assumed in 1994. According to Gregaziz.ca, Aziz was born on April 30, 1949 in London, Ontario. He studied at Ridley College, and then went to the University of Western Ontario, where he majored in Economics. In 1971, he decided to join his family owned wholesale food business called Affiliated Foods. The company is today a leading fresh food importer from South America and Europe. This was a huge improvement from the 3,500 and a workforce of 600 that Aziz inherited at the time of purchase. The railcars manufactured by the company according to Steelcar include: 30,500 tank car, 25,500G tank car, coil, flat, covered hopper, jumbo box car, intermodal well and Gondola among others.
