Through the long and detailed process of the films on fire project based off of Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, I have learned key aspects to group projects I will use in my future. I grasped many important concepts about making a group project successful while going through ups and downs in my group. Because I put my best effort into the project, I acquired knowledge about my own personal boundaries and potential. Although there were memorable parts to the project, there were also disappointments I would like to forget. My group effectively prepared costumes and props, when and where to film, and more. Along with quality experiences come inferior ones which included our lack of organization of personal roles and and lack of proper preparation of the memorization of lines before filming. Every effort to move the project forward even after the roadblocks in our approach was of great help no matter what it was. The quote said by Stella McCartney states, “Everyone can do simple things to make a difference and every little bit really does count.” Here, she expresses every minute detail of work contributed in a positive way, which we discovered in our production. In like manner, Fahrenheit 451 conveys this idea when each member of the resistance memorizes one book. Every “walking book” immensely contributed just as every production group member’s specific role greatly.
