Juana killed her baby sister Anita by an accident, while she was rocking her in her arms. It began to rain outside and the house flooded due to the poorness of their home. Juana felt guilty when Ama pushed her head into Anita grave forcing her to say something. He felt as though it was his fault because he should have worked harder to get them out of there, and little by little built a better house. Sleep became a stranger to Apa. He stayed up all night thinking about if he could have gotten a better job to fix the house, and avoided Anita’s death. Ama is hurting she needs to see Jose and Apa, and Juana feel like if she sees them she would be happy again and won't feel empty without them not there.
