Guinto, the world of manufacturing industry is full of challenges, yet it also presents numerous opportunities. As we embrace the fast-paced nature of our world, it somehow creates a pressure-like environment that might not be suitable for everyone. This pressure also applies to the manufacturing industry, especially within the global market. The global market can be compared to an arena with a lot of aspiring athletes. Just like how these competitors strive to outperform each other, we can also see a lot of fierce competition between different firms in the global market. Each of these firms has its own distinct approach to attracting customers and differentiating itself from the competition. They will do anything to remain competitive and stay ahead of other firms. Aside from global market challenges, another pressure that is being faced by a lot of firms is technological innovation. It is crucial for each firm to invest in high-quality equipment and tools to ensure that they efficiently operate and keep up with their competitors. But to do this, it needs a continuous upgrade of technologies, which somehow can be costly and pose a great deal of challenge for manufacturers, especially those who are in medium-sized firms. There are other challenges that the manufacturing industry faces, but Engr. Guinto said that these challenges are something that we shouldn’t be afraid of if we ever plan to enter the manufacturing industry. As a future Industrial Engineer, he pointed out that there are a lot of opportunities waiting for us, and each of these doors would open and pave the way to hone our skills and knowledge that would lead to a fulfilling and successful
