There are many opinions on gun control and gun control safety issues. Laws vary between government and states. There are some states that require a resident to register all firearms while other states prohibit the registration of firearms. What should be allowed or not allowed is not the people’s choice, rather, it’s the government that is in control. For example, some states allow a person to openly carry a firearm while other states allow carrying a concealed weapon.
Firearms have been used for many reasons since the 10th century when they were invented after the Chinese invented gunpowder. Some people chose to own a firearm for protection, hunting and sport, hobby, and because the peoples constitutional right. Formal firearm training is not mandatory; however, it is highly recommended by experts to have some sort of firearm safety training.
There is a huge responsibility when making the decision to own a firearm especially with no formal training. When used correctly, guns can be used for protection. Gun can save people. Without guns many lives can be taken when it can be prevented. Firearms can dissuade a would be criminal from entering a residence or a place of business if they know or see signs of firearms on the property. Firearms have been used by our military and law enforcement to help serve and protect.
