According to KR Miller et al. (2021), there are multiple factors that contribute to the prevalence of gun violence in the United States. These include the easy accessibility of firearms, the lack of regulations and enforcement of existing laws, and a culture of violence and aggression. Additionally, poverty, racial and economic inequality, a lack of educational opportunities, and the prevalence of mental health issues have all been identified as potential causes of gun violence. This approach should include not only measures such as enhanced background checks, but also measures to address the underlying causes of gun violence such as poverty, racism, and access to mental health services. With a comprehensive, nation-wide approach to gun control, the United States may be able to reduce the rate of gun violence and make its citizens
