There is a serious matter of gun control, everyone has the right to bear arms, but bear them legally, safely, and intelligently. America needs a serious reality check when it comes to gun control, starting with the fact that the government needs to implant stricter gun control measures.
Gun Control "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." As Thomas Jefferson stated, this right of citizens is a way of self defense. This has been a right of the people in America for centuries, why should this right be taken away now? Enforcing of this law could increase attacks, restrict good citizens, and take away a means of defense from the people.

People are scared and worried for themselves and their families, most of these people want guns to be banned or at least restricted. While the other part of Americans believe that guns are not the issue and feel that banning them would go against their constitution right to bear arms. As of 2013 an estimated 270 million total guns are registered to people in the United States.
Gun control is not of one issue, it is of many. To some people gun control is a rights issue, to others it is a crime issue. Yes, a United States citizen may have the right to bear arms under the second amendment of the Constitution, but it does not mean that every United States citizen should have the ability to own a firearm. Those that have taken advantage of the right to bear arms should not be allowed to own a firearm. Within each of these issues there are those who want more gun control legislation and those who want less.
Gun control has been a controversial issue for many years. Many citizens believe that if gun control is strictly enforced it would reduce the threat of crime. People have the right to bear arms for protection, or even just the pleasure of hunting and recreational activity. With the recent events involving firearms and mass shootings, people are skeptical whether to increase or decrease gun laws. Americans have a constitutional right to own handguns and stricter laws and licensing will not effectively save lives.

Having researched one side of the issue, that gun violence had increased over the last year. Having researched the other side of the issue, more gun owners are feeling their rights are being taken little by little. There is no question this is a complicated issue that will require a complicated answer.
Gun control is a major problem/controversy in America right now. People are getting killed and the way they are getting killed is by gun. They blame the gun for the murder, but I mean is it really the guns fault? That’s like saying a guy with no arms or legs was walking on the sidewalk eating something with his arms. These new laws violate our constitutional rights as US citizens and are taking guns away from the people who want to use them correctly and without confrontation. It has also made it more difficult to defend yourself against another person with a gun.

For example, the accident happened in Sandy Hook Elementary School leads to 20 deaths for primacy school students and 6 deaths for staffs. It is hard to imagine what degree of sadness in their family may suffer. In this way, many people think the government should have stronger gun control regulations.
