Gun Control Hypocrisy America has recently seenseveral shooting and indiscriminate firing incidents in schools, malls, and religious place. Do the U.S. people need gun control laws? Should everyone own a gun for self-defense? There are many questions that rise about gun control, but most of them do not have answers.
Should There Be Tighter Gun Restrictions in America ? On the twentieth of December, 2012 twenty-six people were shot dead and only two others injured. The gruesome attack occurred in the morning at sandy hook elementary school in Connecticut the perpetrator Adam Lanzo begin this horrific attack by shooting his mother at 9:30am he then took his mother’s rifle and drove to the nearby elementary school where he then began to open fire on first grade students aged just six to seven and shooting any staff members that got in his way. This resulted in the deaths of twenty children and the deaths of six teachers.
Do you think there should be more gun control? Studies show there should be more gun control for many reasons. The first reason for stricter gun laws is that guns are not safe, and many accidents can occur. People are very irresponsible and will leave their guns out. Little kids will get ahold of them and a very bad accident could happen.

Moreover, the controversy over the Second Amendment revolves around two related questions of government authority: does the government have the right to impose regulations, and should the government regulate guns?
Gun control has been a controversial issue for many years. Many citizens believe that if gun control is strictly enforced it would reduce the threat of crime. People have the right to bear arms for protection, or even just the pleasure of hunting and recreational activity. With the recent events involving firearms and mass shootings, people are skeptical whether to increase or decrease gun laws. A gun is made to be used at its full capability. That is a perfect example of why some people feel the need to keep a gun or firearm in their homes, they are aware of the murder rate due to the media. People do not want to take a chance on someone hurting them so they feel the need to have one, witch is understandable because the murder rate has raised in the last 5 years there. You don’t want your firearm to not be able to be used to its maximum strength at a time if someone was to try to harm you, you would want it to be able to be used at its maximum strength to be able to protect you from harm.
Gun control has been going on for around for years. Gun control laws should be more enacted in the United States of America since citizens are having the potential of using the weapon as violence throughout the community or state and or the country. The 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution state that the second amendment states “A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” Which was adapted in in December 15,1791 the purpose of the second amendment was that the government would not make a tyrannical government.
Two things that do not go hand in hand with one another is Crime and guns. Gun control issues have been a huge problem in the United states for forever and a day. No matter what happens when violence and guns get in contact the problem pays us all a visit. The big question is real, If having new laws for guns, will it decide/figure out the crime rate in the United States? My opinion is that the new gun laws will figure out the crime rate because so many issues/problems will be solved in the united states.
Domestic Policy: Gun Control According to various sources such as, procon.org, dw.com, and obamawhitehouse.archives.gov, gun control may be a solution to stopping mass murders, and limiting deaths by guns in the United States. Currently in the United States we don’t have much gun control laws, because of this there is over one hundred thousand annual deaths caused by guns in the United States. By enacting gun control we will limit the amount of murders, suicides, accidents, and the killing of law enforcement that goes on in our country. At the moment only a dozen states require a permit for the purchase of a handgun, and only 3 states require permits to purchase a shotgun or rifle.
