In a man vs. society, 24th century set world where reading and possessing books are illegal, hitting people with your car is common and a fun teen activity, this happens if there is no sources of information to learn from, just like this novel. Guy Montag, the story's protagonist. Whom is a fireman that doesn't put them out but ignites them. In this short novel, books are illegal too read, and illegal to own. But if you do smuggle a book, fireman will set the set location on fire the books are. Montag can be described as a anti hero because he makes all the wrong moves to get to be able to where he wants to be in life. In most novels, the protagonist is much like a hero, but in the book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, our protagonist is a strong representation of an anti-hero. Unlike a tragic hero, Montag does not do something out of the ordinary at the end of the novel and pass away. Montag is curious about books, and he desires to have the availability to have freedom and be able to read his books at any given time. But, because Montag can’t have his freedom, he goes crazy. He lies to his wife, and kills his boss. He is willing to break the law and hurt people just to become a hero, and to get his freedom. …show more content…

HIs hands were ravenous.” So, when montag relates his hands too “poison” he corresponds his hands too the guilt he feels for stealing the books, but the author gave us a sense of personification to symbolize the guilt he feels, and the defiance Montag begins to blame his hands for.
