The novel, Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury advocates that a fireman named Guy Montag living in a destructive future burning all books and records of the past but never questioned the reason for it until he met a girl named Clarisse who changed his perspective of how the world came to be and wanting to seek more about it.
In the book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, the main character, Montag, is not responsible for the carelessness he displays in his actions and words. After Montag finally informs Mildred of the books he has been stealing/reading, he casually states “‘we’re in this together’” to the shocked, petrified woman (63). Unfortunately, he puts pressure on Mildred to keep and hide his dirty, little secret which puts this innocent person in danger and goes against her beliefs.
