My first reason is that gymnasts want to be able to join a team.
Professional Olympic gymnast, Simone Biles, states; “Put mental health first, because if you don't, then you're not going to enjoy your sport and you're not going to succeed as much as you want to”. “Data from the American College of Sports Medicine indicates that 35% of elite athletes struggle with eating disorders, burnout, depression, or anxiety (Campbell). As a multi-sport athlete, including being a gymnast, I can definitely say that gymnastics comes with needing a lot of mental strength considering the sport can take a toll on a gymnasts mental health. Mental health as an athlete should be a priority, if you aren’t in the right mental state, how could you expect to do well and succeed at your sport? It goes to show that mental health is

Now that August is here, the football jerseys are out of storage and back in effect. With football teams gearing up for a successful season, local cheerleaders are hoping for the same. With fingers intertwined, pretty bows and new stunts to wild the crowd, many teams are hoping to make it to the top this year as they compete for the state title. Having summer camps and practices to better their chances at winning and to heighten the spirits of the football crowd, cheerleaders worked hard all summer long.
I remembered my father told me “ you better get ready because this is some real shit”. My body started to feel different, I wasn't feeling scared I was feeling adrenaline running all over by body. I couldn't wait for those roping skills and techniques to come to me, I had to work real hard. Those skills didn't come overnight. It was all the hours I spent in the arena practicing ,roping poles, bushes, dogs or anything I could see I would be able to rope.
The success of her landing deals with the components of maintaining stability. To maintain stability, one must keep the center of gravity directly above and within the base of support (the feet), have a larger base (spread feet further apart), move the center of gravity closer to the base, and extend the base in the direction of the outgoing force (3). As the gymnast lands, her feet are slightly angled in front of her meaning her base is in the direction of the outgoing force. When the gymnast lands, she lands upright with her feet shoulder width apart and knees slightly bent. Doing this causes her center of gravity to remain neutral while moving close to the base of support.
Admissions Essay 2 Figure skating plays an important role in shaping my character and building skills for the future. Being able to perform gravity-defying jumps and spins on a thin blade requires more than just talent—it involves dedication and perseverance when in the face of adversity. As an athlete, I interpreted the saying “practice makes perfect” as pushing past my limits and training for several hours. Unfortunately, I ended up injured because I was pushing myself too hard and not resting. Two summers ago, I had suffered a back and knee injury that were major setbacks to my progress.
Being in a sport you should like or love that sport so much that if you can't do it for any reason you would want to do it anyway. That is how I feel with volleyball, track, and gymnastics. There was a time when I did want to go to gymnastics practice, because of a girl named Ava. She was my first gym friend, but is now the one of the last people I would turn to for help. One of the first days I joined Granite City Gymnastics and was on the Competition team I met a girl her name was Ava.

What I love about it is you can start with one thing and transform it into something different by using the same skills you just learned from your previous skill. (Preview Statement): Today I’m going to explain three levels of moves you need to know, the first level is basic tumbling, the second level is intermediate tumbling, the last one is advanced tumbling. Figure skating is one of the most watched sports of the Winter Olympics. The first known example of skating occurred in Finland over 4,000 years ago. It began as way to get around and run away. While the first skates were just pieces of bone strapped to the foot, in the 13th century the Dutch developed steel blades. Jackson Haines, in the mid 1800s, was the inventor of the modern figure skating, and he attached blades with screws so jumps and leaps could be performed without the blades falling off.
