Excellence is achieved through the continuous pursuit of improvement. Throughout my professional career I have acquired experiences that have propelled my work-skills. However, I believe that I that I am still in need of further experiences to refine and shape my professional character in order to succeed. While my experience with several jobs has provided me with work experience and skills, making me a feasible candidate, an internship by the HACU National Internship Program can provide me with professional skills and focused experiences that will allow for my personal development. Through an internship, I would be exposed to an environment where I would be able to grow professionally. I believe that I would benefit from an HACU internship by receiving experience in the workforce. I have been interested in Computer Science. I have taken two programing courses while at Princeton. Computer Science interests me because of the doors it opens to solve complex problems and also the innovation and creativity it fosters. I have also been interested in public policy, particularly educational policy. I am currently in an education policy course that centers around the problems in urban education. I have been passionate in improving the current educational system that has been disadvantaging students in urban schools, especially minority students. I have worked as a mentor to a disadvantaged student and also worked with LEDA, a non-profit that propels students to selective colleges to recruit students. Ultimately, all of my interests tie back to entrepreneurship. I am interested in successfully launching and managing my own projects. In whatever field I choose to follow, I would like to start my own non-profit or
