Dear HCA Selection Committee,

“Wherever the art of medicine is loved, there is also a love of humanity.” from Hippocrates. This quote speaks to me because it illustrates the idea that medicine, healthcare, and being kind to others are truly key to healing people and improving humanity as a whole. That is the main reason why I want to be a doctor. I have always wanted to help people in any way I could and being in healthcare is certainly a great way to do so. By having a health career I could have the rare chance to save lives, which is something I have always desired to do. As soon as I knew what I wanted to do for a career, I knew Healthcare Academy was the perfect choice for me. I loved Living Environment and I have the academic skills needed to succeed in the academy. I have many characteristics that make me an exceptional candidate for HCA. I am particularly organized and always on task so I will be able to get my work done on time. I respect my teachers and classmates. I am also curious and have a love for learning that will be a noteworthy quality throughout the academy courses. I also love volunteering and I volunteer often for fun outside of school so the required volunteer hours will not be a concern for me. I am also good at memorizing things and I have heard that in Introduction to Health and Careers, you need to be able to memorize key ideas and vocab words. I will assuredly put in the work and time needed to be in Healthcare Academy as I do for everything else I am involved
