They then realized what they had discovered, they saw the torture chamber holmes used to kill his victims. Holmes was first charged with insurance scams and then later on he was charged for first degree murder of Benjamin Pitezel.
James Holmes did not live a normal childhood. He attempted suicide at a young age. He would see things starting at a young age that (although not actually there but they were in his mind) involved loud noises throughout the night and people fighting and killing each other with weapons and firearms. I think a stronger focus on James Holmes younger years could have helped out the defense a great deal and they didn’t really seem to focus on it that much during the

Holmes was one of America's first serial killers, also known as “King of the Murder Castle”. Holmes was remarkably charming, and “unusually intelligent at an early age” (Biography.com Editors, 2017). Holmes charm and intellect were key components to his murders and fraud throughout his life. He quickly became intrigued by medicine, which allegedly led him to practice surgery on animals. While the World Fair was going on in Chicago something more sinister was going on in the background. H.H. Holmes later confessed to 27 murders, but some of the people that he said he killed were still alive (Benzkofer).

His outfit was described wearing a “ballistic helmet, protective gear for his legs, throat and groin, black gloves and a gas mask. He props open the door, before throwing two tear gas canisters into the theater” (“Colorado Theater”, 2017).

In my memo paper, (omit) that how come white people are the only ones committed the serial killing. Walsh talks about in his article that not all white men are serial killers there are also black men who are serial killers. According to Walsh article: When an official of Nassau County, New York, for instance, called Colin Ferguson (the African American who killed 6 and wounded 17 others on a commuter train in 1993) an “animal,” he was soundly rebuked by many civil rights leaders, none of whom have ever been heard to complain when such terms are applied to White killers
