Evaluation Criteria Action for HIV/AIDS program/policy has three goals that it is trying to accomplish. One of the goals is to reduce the amount of sexual transmission of HIV/AIDS. The goal is to reduce the amount of transmission especially in the rural areas to half the amount. The second goal is to prevent a number of people who get HIV and by doing this bring awareness of the different ways that people can get HIV and by people being aware, they would make a better decision and be more wise about their health. The third goal is to sustain the program that way, it will help to prevent eliminate new HIV infection. How to measure this program and policy is from surveys, interviews and health review data from different clinics and hospitals …show more content…

The goal of this program is to bring awareness to HIV/AIDS and find different ways to prevent HIV/AIDS from happening. And for the people who currently living with this virus, find ways to help this person live as comfortable as they can with medication in other to prevent this virus from being transferred to others and find ways to reduces the occurrence of this virus. This agency has four key values that they abide by. The first value is respect. With this, everyone has to be respectful of each other in the agencies, the clients, and the partners. The second value is humility meaning that everyone that meets this agency most of the time is going to have something to contribute to this agency and because of that, we have to recognize and honor that. The third value is collaboration, which means that everyone will work constructively in all sectors with each other across the board to ensure a positive outcome and success in the agency. The last but not the least is an impact. With Impact, the agency is focused on making a great impact in the lives of those we serve. The outcome of the program is to successfully reduce, prevent and eliminate HIV/AIDS and for the people who already have the virus for them to have the right treatment in place so that they can continue to live a better life. Although, at the time people may not be receptive to getting the help because they feel that they are getting a hand out especially in the rural community where hard work is valued. Another reason is that people know each other, they may not be receptive to getting the help and because of this, they might continue to hide the fact that they do have the virus, they stand the change of spreading it to more people because of not getting treatment. Rural communities are tight-knit where everyone knows everyone and helps each other and for someone to be HIV positive, there is a higher chance of them not wanting anybody to know that they have the virus, therefore they will hide it. There is a ranking order for the criteria. The first is awareness and making people aware of the symptoms and signs of HIV. The second is how it can be prevented and the third is for the people who have HIV, the different treatment plans that they can get in order for HIV
