Because of this, the RS has used the media as a method of televising their propaganda. A common TTP used by the RS is to contact the media, police, or both before an attack occurs. Doing this gives the RS the recognition they seek. This increases the confidence level of the RS, especially when police are unable to stop an attack. With the confidence level of the RS boosted, this can set the stage for them to make a fatal mistake.
