It’s Not So Hot in Paradise As an American from the Midwest, the image that comes to mind of life on a Caribbean island is paradise which evokes a feeling of peace and tranquility. Unlike Haiti, Haitians eat the same food every day; for example, rice, beans, mangos and unhealthy food, as cookies, made by them using mud. The culture of Haiti is a diverse mixture between African and European cultures. Haiti culture was based on the French settlement in Haiti.
