This paper analyzes claims made by Ms. Haley Honeck by selecting pins that represent her sense of logos and ethos on a Pinterest board. Pinterest is a social media platform considered by some as a virtual corkboard similar to those used by crafts people to depict things of interest and importance to them comprised of boards a collection of pins, and pins individual pictures or quotes. Ms. Honeck is currently a Criminal Justice student at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and a Colorado native. Placement of pins on boards is of importance as those that are at the bottom of their board are considered more important than the pins at the top of their board. In Haley's post she placed pictures of her family, friends, and figure skating team at the bottom correlating their importance to her and placed pins or wine, beauty, and guys near the top. Haley placed 33 photos a ration of over 25% of the pins of her best friend on her board reflecting that her best friend is of great importance to her. This is reflected in the quote "Thank you for being my unbiological sister" (B, 13) that is pinned on her board just above the photos of her friends. The number of photos used here is nearly three times as many as those of her family, which works statistically to demonstrate that the placement at the bottom of board, is inartistically reflecting the logical correlation she has with her best friend that she sees as a member of her
