Halloween Should Be Allowed In School

From the interviews and surveys that we collected, our group found out that the majority of the people do not celebrate Halloween. The people who do not celebrate Halloween stated that they do not celebrate Halloween, because it is not a tradition in their families. In our study, our group interviewed 10 students during class time. Only 4 students out of 10 said that they celebrate Halloween (see Figure 1.1.) However, when we asked the students if Halloween should be allowed in schools, 7 students said that Halloween should be allowed, and 3 students said that it should not be allowed (see in figure 1.) This means that even if people do not celebrate Halloween, they still think that it should be allowed in educational institutions. Our group believes that people should have the option of being exposed to different celebrations, excluding the ones that him or her celebrates. As a result of this question, 8 students said that they think it will results in negative outcomes, while two said that it would not have negative outcomes. This shows that the majority of students think that Halloween should be allowed in schools, even though, it can result in negative outcomes. The fourth question our group asked to the students was if their neighborhood celebrated Halloween. Only 7 students said that Halloween is celebrated in their neighborhood, but only 3 students said that Halloween is not celebrated in their neighborhood. When students were ask if the celebration of Halloween affected their neighborhood in any way, 2 student said that it does affected their neighborhood, and 8 students said that it does not affected it. Based on our results, the celebration of Halloween does not really impact people neighborhood now in days. Students were also asked if they agree with trick or treating. Only 7 students agree with trick or
