On the adventure through the pathway of life, there are interviews with lots of different events and positions where we act appropriately. Building on what type of personality is consumed, there are tons of ways that we can compromise with these confrontations. In hamlet, the main character known as Hamlet encounters with a bunch of dilemmas and is in a spontaneous affliction. In the book Old man and the sea, the character Santiago is a fisherman who has a main goal of catching fish and selling them at a market. Santiago and his fish start to struggle against each other, Santiago deals with deep domestic conflicts about his rights to collect a living by catching fish. In the play hamlet, Hamlet faces deep inner struggles dealing with his uncle murdering his father, then marrying his mother no longer than a month after the murder was committed. Hamlet tries to hide his emotions because he didn’t want to show how he felt towards Rosencrantz and Guildenstern when they went to check up on him. Once Hamlet encountered his Father’s ghost, his pride and strength all came to him. He believed in himself that he could avenge his father’s death by murdering his Uncle Claudius who is now King. His strength came into play when he had to hide his emotions and not second doubt himself by committing through the plan him and his father had discussed. When Santiago starts catching all those fish and feeling great he puts a sudden shock to the villagers because they couldn’t believe what they were seeing. As for Hamlet, he shows pride when he commits the crime of getting sweet revenge on his Uncle Claudius by murdering him.
