“Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more.” Man has fell short of God’s glory due to all complications that are within. As defined, a tragic hero is an individual that makes or produces a mishap that would lead to that characters fall. In the play, Hamlet written by William Shakespeare, the protagonist which is Hamlet, the son of the late King Hamlet and Queen Gertrude is represented in the novel as a tragic hero. Usually in a production, frequent peculiarities of a tragic hero consist of them accepting their destruction or downfall, having an ultimate weakness and also they must acquire a tragic flaw. In the play, Hamlet has had to bear many difficulties within himself and regarding others. Hamlet’s character comes off as being sad and bitterful. Throughout the course of the novel, Hamlet has various occasions that his vulnerability is accounted for. “My father’s spirit in arms! All is not well; I doubt some foul play: would the night were come! Till then sit still, my soul: foul deeds will rise, though all the earth o’erwhelm them, to men’s eyes. (I.II.277-281)” One of the main weaknesses that are possessed within Hamlet would be his father’s death. Now before the ghost ever became distinguished, Hamlet was clueless as to the mystery of his father’s death. His father’s death was a major impact on Hamlet’ life because in my opinion I feel as if he was more closer to his father compared to his mother. Once the ghost revealed the truth about the incident, Hamlet began to feel betrayed by his uncle and mother. That’s where he began to feel revengeful to justify his father’s death. Another weakness that Hamlet portrays is his lack of thought for decision making.
