Hank Williams, Jr., was born Randall Hank Williams to Hank and Audrey nee’ Sheppard Williams. Hank Williams, Jr., was only 3 years old when his father died (“Hank”...Bio para.4). He had 2 stepmothers and a mother. His mother was Audrey, and his step mothers were Bobbie Jett, who had his stepsister, and Billie Gean who was a widow just months after she married Williams, Sr. (Williams para.14). One famous person of Williams, Jr.’s, family would be his stepsister Jett Williams. She is the daughter and Hank Sr. and Bobbie Jett. Jett Williams was born only a few days after her father, Hank Williams, Sr.’s, death. She was adopted by her grandmother but shortly after put in foster care. In the year 1974 he attempted suicide but was able to turn himself around (“Hank”...Bio para.6). If he would have died in 1974 then he would have just been a remake of his father’s life. Instead he moved from Tennessee to Alabama to rethink his life. After his suicide attempt, he started to change his music style by creating his own work. He made his first album that was his work not his dad's. The album was called “Hank WIlliams Jr. and Friends”. In his first album he had people like Waylon Jennings and The Tucker Band’s Toy Caldwell and others. In the album he had big hits like “Living Proof” and “Stoned at the Jukebox”(“Career” para.11). The album was a mix of country with rock and roll (“About” para.5). It had mainly Southern rock though and blues with the country and rock & roll (Dauphin para.1). He also caught up with Charlie Daniels when he made the album (“About” para.5). In 1975 Williams, Jr., was injured in a mountain climbing accident out in Montana. He had to take two years and multiple surgeries to fix his face (“Hank”...Bio para.6). He climbed Ajax Mountain in Montana to clear his mind and see some friends (“Career” para.12). He fell 442 foot down the side of the mountain. He was left with a split skull and a crushed face yet he survived.
