Hard work triumphs over talent; I learned this in eleventh grade. I struggled to pass my mathematics class; I averaged a C- in basically every math class I took. I believed that I would always struggle in math; I saw no light at the end of my tunnel for my peril. I was adamant about not taking calculus, because I believed that I would fail that class. I refused to sign up for that class, but after many circumstances, I finally enrolled in calculus, just one month late. After I enrolled in the class, there was an announcement that the first chapter test would be in two days. The second I got home that day, I looked up videos that explained the topics on that chapter test, limits, and I spent literally every waking moment that I was home in those two days practicing limits. I refused to ask for help in the hard problems, because I realized the problems that I struggled with were going to be infinitely more beneficial to improving my mathematics ability than the ones that I find easy.
