Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the fourth book in the Harry Potter Series. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire begins when Harry sees Frank Bryce being killed by the vicious Lord Voldermort. Harry wakes up from this horrible nightmare with his scar aching. Ron invites Harry to the Quidditch World Cup along with Hermione using a boot disguised as a Portkey (A teleporter). While at the Quidditch Cup Harry meets Cedric Diggory and his father. Following the match with the roaring crowds, the Death Eaters ruin the excitement by setting things on fire and destroying the whole site! J.K. Rowling is an excellent author; one of the things that I adore most about her is her foreshadowing. J.K. Rowling began Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire with just an ordinary gardener being brutally killed by Lord Voldemort. This emphasized that evil was approaching and Harry was in great danger. It was even stranger that Harry’s scar started to hurt since it doesn’t unless Lord Voldemort is around. She foreshadowed the snares of the Death-Eaters and Lord Voldermort arising again.
2. The three tasks in the tournament were all extremely difficult and dangerous. I thought the worst of them was the second one when the four wizards had to go underwater and retrieve their friends. The other ones tested a more physical state rather than a mental state. The second task implied both a mental and physical state because the four wizards realized that if they didn’t save their friends that they could die and it be their fault. It also tested their way of thinking. Leading to this task they each had a golden egg, which contained a clue. Each tribute had to think of a way to listen to the egg without going deaf and how to stay underwater for an hour. The second task was the most brutal of them
