“A pair of star-cross’d lovers take their life; Doth with their death buries their parents’ strife.” (Prologue 6:8) In Shakespeare's classic tale of Romeo and Juliet, two families of Verona, the Montagues and Capulets have been feuding for a long time. At a Capulet party that Romeo snuck into, to help him get over Rosaline, Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet fall in love at first sight, just to find out that they’re in love with the enemy. The Feud rejected Romeo and Juliet's destiny to be together, due to the families hate which they were caught in, and their steady fighting, that thence lead to their downfall and death. For instance, when Tybalt kills Mercutio because he called him the King of Cats, Romeo got revenge on Tybalt and kills him. “Either thou, or I, or both shall go with him” (3.1.126). Romeo says that one of them will die because he killed Mercutio, and Romeo wants revenge on him. Because of this Romeo gets exiled out of the city, and Juliet is grieving, her family thinks it’s because Tybalt is slain so they have her marry Paris. She doesn’t love Paris, so she meets with Friar Lawrence and he has her take a sleeping potion that lasts for 42 hours and she looks dead, but none know it. She will wake up in her grave and Romeo has to be there to take her with him so they can be there together outside of the city. Another example is when Romeo and Paris fight at Juliet’s grave, and Romeo kills Paris. “Whate’er thou hear’st or seest, stand all aloof, and do not interrupt me in my course” (5.3.26). Romeo was supposed to get a letter explaining the plan that Juliet and Friar Lawrence came up with. Paris thought he was there to disturb her grave so he stepped in a drew for a fight, Romeo then killed him because Paris would have killed him. Romeo was sad that Juliet died, after he killed Paris he drank the poison and laid down next to Juliet’s grave. When Juliet woke up she saw Romeo dead, and she killed herself with his dagger.
