While reading the play Romeo and Juliet, there were many themes you could trace with multiple examples because so much happens in the play. From the very beginning, we learn that there are two families, the Capulets and the Montagues. These two families have a feud that causes them to hate each other, so they aren’t supposed to mingle together. We also learn that Romeo and Juliet kill themselves at some point, we just don't know when. This builds suspense throughout the play. By saying this, she expresses that she wants revenge. She wants Montague to die since they lost a Capulet. Everyone is furious about the loss of Tybalt, they take it to the Prince in the hope he will give Romeo what he deserves for such a horrible action. This goes back to the lesson that there are consequences for your actions because Romeo didn't need to kill himself, he could have waited just a little bit longer. But, if the messenger had been able to get away from his quarantine, then the whole situation would have never happened. Some people might argue that these situations don't show that there are consequences for your actions. They might say that these situations just happened and there weren't consequences, but these situations could have been avoided if Romeo had thought about his actions before he did anything. Someone might argue that if Romeo had thought about his actions, the story would've gone a different way. Therefore, Romeo did have consequences for his actions in many different ways. In conclusion, Romeo and Juliet is known as a Romantic Tragedy and many schools continue to read it because there are many takeaways from the play. The family feud and the knowledge of Romeo and Juliet killing themselves helps to develop the suspense with the characters throughout their actions in the
