This response paper intends to show how, a person can have a positive outlook on life despite facing a terminal disease. Focusing on Hazel and Augustus from the novel. YOU NEED TO LINK YOUR STATEMENT TO TEENAGE ANGST SINCE THAT IS IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE STATEMENT What is teenage angst? Teenage angst is the feeling of the feeling of being miss understood. While emotional turmoil may seem to overpower the joy of growing up. There is a purpose and cure. By definition, angst is a feeling of anxiety of life or situation. In the novel The Fault in Our Stars, Hazel Grace Lancaster, a 16-year-old with thyroid cancer spread to her lungs, attends a cancer support group at her mother 's behest. During the support meeting, Hazel meets a 17-year-old boy named Augustus Waters, whose osteosarcoma caused him to lose his leg. The two bond immediately and agree to read each other 's favorite novels. Augustus gives Hazel The Price of Dawn, CITATION and Hazel recommends An Imperial Affliction, CITATION a novel written by Peter Van Houten is her favorite book and is about a cancer struck girl named Anna that parallels with Hazel 's own experience. After Augustus finishes reading her book, he is frustrated upon learning that the novel ends abruptly without a conclusion.
