This concept helps the nurse make sense of the often convoluted, paradoxical, and invisible yet pervasive ways economics shapes the organization, financing, and in the delivery of health care. It helps the nurse serve patients better and help shape a world in which the holistic treatment is being given. To become a professional nurse it is important to have a confident command of economic terms and ideas and ability to apply them in the practical setting.

It provides proactive approach that can make nurse initiate preventive actions to abate the problem before they manifest as diseases. It helps the nurse to contribute to disease prevention.
Health problem consciousness help the nurse to know those factors that can influence health and to team up with other interdisciplinary teams and agencies to determine the factors that are causing health problems in a community. Due to health problems the nurse can now work with private and public institution to perform risk and hazard assessments.
7. HEALTH INFORMATION
This concept helps the nurse to promote health and healthy behavior and as a health resource person for the community. Through this the nurse could identify health issues which may affect the well-being of individuals, families, groups and communities and such health issues are referred to appropriate agencies and ensure that co-ordination of care occurs.
Health information helps the nurse detect abnormal conditions as early as possible in order to provide medical assistance if needed and carry out emergency measures when there is no medical help.
The nurse will be able to provide counselling and education for women and all the families within the community.

The nurse is able to tackle multiple health determinants by raising the awareness of people of the multiple and changing determinants of health and their responsibilities in controlling them through health promotion. Through health promotion nurse is able to generate new knowledge and understanding health and to be able to conduct research and disseminate research findings on health programmes. Health promotion helps the nurse to advocate for community development and social involvement, as well as lobby for public and social policy change that promote the health of the population at large.
9. HEALTH EDUCATION
This concept helps the nurse to develop the skill of educating individuals on the importance of getting involved in physical activity and fitness, on work safety and role it plays on individual’s health, mental hygiene, stress reduction and how too much stress predisposes to various disease, importance of good nutrition and weight control. Educating on how to keep blood pressure and cholesterol under control, quitting smoking, alcohol and drugs, impact of working and living environment on health.
