My transition into the field of Health Information Management was not intended, but rather a result of life throwing a curveball. Since graduating from Pace University in 2015 with a Bachelor's in Finance, my passion has been to merge business finance and healthcare into one career goal. This is healthcare revenue cycle management. The education that I received provided me with a foundation and framework upon which I am now building on a daily basis. My life experiences led me to work as a financial analyst, where I handled complex spreadsheets and performed analytics. I have also become a subject-matter expert, where I specialize in providing advisory services in the areas of revenue cycle management, revenue integrity, regulatory compliance, and outpatient technical and professional coding. My most recent accomplishment was getting one of the most prestigious industry certifications, the Certified Revenue Cycle Executive, from the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management. In the healthcare revenue cycle sector, the Certified Revenue Cycle Executive certification is equivalent to obtaining a CPA certification or passing the bar exam.
