Healthy living is a buzz word in restaurant’s world. The popularity of organic food is skyrocketed in recent years. Millennials and baby boomers both generations are looking for healthy menus in every restaurant to keep them healthy and smart. Organic and home grown produce are the most common and favorite preferences of these generations. Healthy living option is growing in both kind of restaurants fast food and sit down dinning. Almost 60 % of the population is looking for healthy menus regardless of any age. The trend is evenly distributed among all the four regions of the country. Currently, our chain is enjoying a good repute among customers. Our customers like our customer service, ambience and atmosphere. People rated us very high in service quality. Our food option in the menu is good and acceptable to our customers. As per the survey conducted on existing customers most of the customers wants us to add a healthy living options in our menu. Their preference is locally home grown organic food with no GMO. Weight watchers always look for calories and nutritional information. More and more people are moving towards the healthy living menus. Today vegan trend is also very common among customers and most of the time customers mix organic food with vegan food, but vegan is quite a different kind of story. Organic foods are basically more expensive then the processed food. People are willing to pay more for their healthy living. It will help us to increase the efficiency in profits. Mostly people wants a GMO free food. Again it is trend and inflowing in the minds of common public that GMO food is not good for their health and as a restaurant business entity we have to keep in mind all these trends. Rody described its significance in his article that “GMO labeling is already required in 64 countries including those of European union, Russia, Japan China, Australia, Brazil and number of countries in Africa, where despite rampant food scarcity and malnutrition, American exports that save millions of lives have been rejected because the crops contained GMOs”(Rody,2015).
