The man who made a media empire Hearst William Randolph is one of the most powerful people to have been born in the USA and his name still has great wealth and power today. Hearst William Randolph was the son of a millionaire gold miner George Hearst he came from a family of great wealth and lived a life of luxury in his childhood. He went to Harvard but, never graduated from Harvard and was acutely expelled for many reasons from being drunk in public and other misconduct. After that he took a liking to journalism and looked up to Joseph Pulitzer one of the founders for new journalism. He took over San Francisco Examiner from his father who bout it for political reason and turn it in to a success. This and much more is why he is one of the most import people in not just newspaper journalism but all type of journalism and would not be the same today without him.
