WHO IS HEDDA GABLER Hedda Gabler is a tragic character that is interesting as a person, daughter of the famous General Gabler she is used to having everything she wants and live in luxury. In the first act, after they come back from their honeymoon, Hedda and George, George has several conversations first with Aunt Julie and with the Judge Brack about the same subject finances and money. Miss Tesman said: “you got to take such a long honeymoon-more than five-almost six months…It must have cost a lot.” Tesman answers: “you’re right –it was a bit more costly. But Hedda had to have that trip, Auntie. She really had to.
