Helen Adams Keller was born on June 27th, 1880 in Tuscumbia, Alabama. At only nineteen months old, Keller fell sick with a high fever that was never fully diagnosed and it caused her to become blind and deaf. Ever since the day that Keller became disabled, it was hard for her to speak and see Keller would get so upset and angry at times because she couldn’t talk and see like the rest of her family, and that she would throw temper tantrums. Ever since she got the help, Keller got a better attitude, life, and education. Although Miss Keller went through many horrible things, she grew up and had a lot of achievements and accomplishments. Keller went to many soldiers that had lost their eyesight during or after World War 2. She wanted to go out and help many people as possible. She fundraised a lot of money to help with the information and scientific parts. In the article, “Helen Adams Keller” made by World of Health, the text states, “ Raising money for the blind and deaf, Keller and Sullivan helped put a stop to the practice of placing all disabled children permanently in institutions. As a living example, Keller was able to convince the government and the public of the importance and value of appropriate education for disabled children of research too.” (“Helen Adams Keller” World of Health 2). Keller and Sullivan had helped put a stop to putting disabled kids into places where they didn’t belong. Each kid should be treated the same. Keller was also able to mostly anyone that it is important to give an education to the disabled too. As Keller grew older, she had written many books between the years of 1903 and 1930. Many of her books were written based on her life and many of the things that had impacted her life. There was a play written by a guy named William Gibson and it was based off of Keller life when she was little and got a lot of help from Miss Sullivan. The name of the play is “A Miracle Worker” and it was a award winning play. Helen went to school and college and then
