Henry Ford did not invent the car, or even the assembly line. However he did revolutionize the way the car was built, using the moving assembly line. He did however, sponsor the moving assembly line. Henry Ford was born on July 30, 1863, in Wayne County, Michigan. This was where the family farm was. On his 13th birthday, his father gave him a pocket watch. Being the curious boy he was, Henry Ford promptly took it apart and reassembled it. Henry Ford was not satisfied with farm work, at the age of 16 Henry Ford left the farm.
