This curse is only because Zeus cheated and had a son not with Hera. “He was born in Thebes and for a long time was held to be the son of Amphitryon, a distinguished general.”, although this was the thought in reality Hercules was born from Amphitryon’s wife. During the war, she had 2 kids while Amphitryon was at war. Hercules is one of them. Zeus’s actual wife, Hera, being a romantic goddess decides to curse Hercules as punishment to Zeus cheating on her. This curse makes Hercules kill his wife and kids.

Hera didn’t punish Zeus even though it was his fault. This is problematic to me because it goes against my moral ideas. Why does someone who is not culprit get punished? Even more so why do the grandkids of the culprit get punished? It’s one thing that a murderer gets punished but then the people he loves gets punished too.That's not right at all,anyone should repent it should be Zeus. …show more content…
