Their goals also had differences like how many risks they took and also the level of risk each took. Hatshepsut risked her chance at being a Pharaoh, she did that by slowly taking more power from the Pharaoh. Meanwhile, Perseus risked his life. Perseus risked his life to become a hero by taking a chance and slaying Medusa. Perseus could have been turned to stone by Medusa but kept his promise to Athena, The Giant, and Hermes.

Medusa was a monster with snake hair,and eyes of stone,she would turn people to stone if you looked her in the eyes. In Edith Hamilton’s Mythology, three heros named Perseus, Theseus, and Hercules exhibit different traits that affect their journey in a positive or negative way. Perseus receives supernatural help, Theseus displays incredible strength, and Hercules has a fatal flaw that will end tragically, these qualities are what classify each as an epic hero.
Not only did Hercules change history but he changed many others perspective on life. With hero's journey having ended, he is given his final reward. Perseus and Percy both have a brains over brawn theme. Although it is modernized in The Lightning Thief because Percy goes to a special camp for half bloods, which is more realistic nowadays. When Perseus tries to cut off Medusa's head, he looks through the reflection on his mirroring shield, while it is much more modern in the book as Percy looks through a reflection on a glass. The items in The Lightning Thief are more updated. In the book Percy uses a lot more knowledge than in the myth.

Even though there are a variety of different myths taught around the world, Greek mythologies are more famously known for their fruitful stories and complex relationships. Greek mythologies mostly concern their gods and heroes such as; Hercules, Achilles, Theseus, and Perseus. Of the many Greek heroes, Jason is the most heroic due to the fact that although he is abandoned at a very young age, he is still able to survive, also he proves to Hera the goddess who hated heroes that he is worthy to be favoured by her, and he completes the impossible quest of the Golden Fleece. Jason is born in a very superior family, having a father who is the lawful king of Iolcus.
Although Zeus and Hades were brothers there were barely, if any, similarities between the two. In fact, the two were basically polar opposites. However even with their many differences they still shared one or two similarities. One being brothers, as I mentioned before the two got along quite well until they drew for their share of the world and Zeus was declared ruler of the world and Hades was sent down to the underworld where he ruled. That brings up one of their other similarities, the both were both gods.
The Hydra a ginormous nine-headed water serpent that haunted the swamps of Lerna. The Gorgons are three sisters that when given direct eye-contact would turn the seer to stone. Both are formidable creature in Greek history. Both may be formidable but they have their differences. The Hydra can breath acid and when one head is decapitated two more will grow.

Hercules is my epic hero because of his heroic actions, his immortality, and the courage he possesses. The first and most important reason why Hercules is my epic hero is because he managed to do everything in a heroic manner and the difficult tasks he overcame.
Hercules and Theseus, two great heroes from mythology, seem to be similar in many ways. Both extremely brave and noble; with a love of danger and adventure mixed with compassion, creates the perfect heroes. Their stories intertwine with one another’s when Hercules has to save Theseus from the chair of forgetfulness in Hades. Theseus saved Hercules when he was distraught with intent to kill himself. In a similar way, they both stood by their friends no matter the cost.
