No matter who someone's hero is one thing stays the same. A hero is someone that has strived to help out of their own will. Anyone could be a hero. However not everyone is a hero. Being a hero takes courage.
What is a hero? When people think hero they think of capes, people with superpowers, crime stoppers. What is an actual hero and how do people define them. There are many examples of heros in books such as: Katniss Everdeen, Harry Potter, Bilbo Baggins, etc… Each of these characters stood up for their beliefs and faced many trials because of those beliefs.
What is a hero? A hero is someone who stands up in there rights and beliefs for good. Three heros are Miep Gies,Harriet Tubman,and Jackie Robinson. In the book, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Scout, Calpurnia, and Atticus stand out when courage comes to mind. These characters show courage in many unique ways with different situations. In the early 1930s, in the deep south, racial discrimination was a huge conflict, for example, the Jim Crows Laws were in play, and it legalized segregation between blacks and whites. Courage isn’t always shown in situations, but simply throughout growing up.

Being King or the top of the class can be a little challenging at times. People that look up to one would normally expect them to make great accomplishments. Some may as well believe that one is an ultimate hero for doing great tasks. The idol, call it as you will, cannot always do heroic brave tasks. I should know because when I, myself am in battles with another person, I tend to feel a little discouraged about not getting the job done right.
In To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee, figuring out the true protagonist is can be difficult because there are so many characters that could be the protagonist. Some people might say that Scout is the protagonist because she is the narrator and also the main character, but that does not make her the protagonist. The next thing that someone might say is that Jem is the protagonist because he changes so much, and he becomes more responsible, choosing to do the right thing more often than not. In reality, the true protagonist is Atticus, and this is because he is the one who tries to pass his values of right and wrong on to Jem and Scout. Atticus always does what is right, regardless of what other people think.
