As humans, we tend to idolize people from all over the world for their remarkable qualities, bravery, actions, skills, leadership or ways of life. These people are often referred to as heroes, whether it is a leader, Superman, or a local community hero, they all share something in common, and it’s not a cape. What makes each of these people heroes? Their extraordinary character traits set them apart from their less noteworthy peers. While there is a myriad of traits that heroes possess, the most significant ones are their bravery, their willingness to ask for help, and their strength to always do what is honorable.
No matter who someone's hero is one thing stays the same. A hero is someone that has strived to help out of their own will. Anyone could be a hero. However not everyone is a hero. Being a hero takes courage.
Heroes are generally humble. They do not brag about their deeds. When they save others, they show bravery and courage. Some heroes have their flaws which are part of their bad qualities. This could be selfishness and bragging.
For true heroes, they can’t just have an imperfect day and decide to not help people. Once they choose the path to help and save people, they can’t just walk
Heroes in our society are revered and respected as Joseph Campbell reminds us: “A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself” (Joseph Campbell). Heroes exist in all societies and throughout history. Maybe they are not always on the news or from the movies, but their words and their actions never fail to resonate across their feats. A hero gives of himself and dedicates himself to causes which better others and their society unlike individuals who are self serving, greedy, and cruel.
Undoubtedly, there are many types of different heroes that put themselves above others. A true hero will demonstrate selflessness when it is in need. For example, the Military risk their lives to not only protect our country and the civilians but also they fight for our rights so that we don’t have unfair restrictions. They give up their lives, family, and friends for the good of others, they stepped up when no-one else was willing to. Another example that is less thought of are people who raise charity or do volunteer.
A hero makes people better. It doesn’t take a lot for a person to be considered a hero. If a person works hard, motivate people to do their best, and is involved in their community, they are considered a hero. Every hero should have an positive impact on a person
Heroes put others before themselves and will do anything to ensure that thing’s safety. Many people have either risked their lives or have loss their lives due to trying to save others. An example of this would be the man in the red bandana or Welles Crowther. Crowther was working in the twin towers as planes were crashing into them. Crowther could have ran away from the other people when the planes hit, but he chose not to spare himself, but to save others and sacrifice his own life.
A hero is somebody who inflicts a positive change, either for their community or towards the world. Heroes require certain qualities that will cause them to be their very best. These qualities include extreme willpower, motivation, giving your best effort, durability, and independence. Although many people think it’s hard to be a hero, there have been many ordinary men and women throughout history that have influenced the society we live in today.
When one thinks of the word hero, an image of a supernatural human being wearing a cape will most likely appear in his or her mind. However, there is more to a hero than how many villains he or she can take down in one day. People often associate values such as courage, selflessness, humility, patience, and caring with heroism, for these values mark the foundation of the honest hero. Throughout history, society has commemorated heroes for their heroic efforts.
Do you know what type of heroes there are? There are many definitions for a hero. They can be realistic or non-realistic. In “Tough Alice’ She is a fantasy character she is in the story “Alice In Wonderland” except in ‘Tough Alice” she has obstacles to handle like the Jabberwook. They are both similar but have some differences.
Being heroic is not easy. As hero’s, people receive hate and criticism for basically whatever is done; It is just how society works. People can make YouTube videos trying to get people to donate to an animal shelter and still get more dislikes and hate than appreciation. It is just how society works. “A hero is an ordinary individual who finds strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.”
“True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost”(Ashe). A real hero has the will to help others and make the world a better place. Almost anyone can achieve this feat without tears of frustration. Many heroes put aside their selfishness to do some good in this world we live in.
In many different stories, a hero is made out of an ordinary person. The heroes that get introduced to us all have the intention of doing good and helping people. The heroes that we meet come in all different shapes and sizes. Some heroes will stand up for strangers in order to do the right thing, like Juror No. 8 in 12 Angry Men by Reginald Rose. Heroes may also stand up for those who don’t have a voice like what Atticus Finch did in To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
Superman Villain or Hero Many people would argue that Superman is a hero of Earth, but many fail to realize the consequences of having a powerful man come into existence. One of the prices evil will always rise up to challenge a good-hearted person. In turn crime rates would drop down as hundreds of innocent lives are saved daily by Superman.
