H.H Holmes was one of America’s first serial killers. He originally lived in Gilmanton, New Hampshire where he grew up and started showing signs of interest in medicine and dissection in animals. When he got older he eventually left New Hampshire and started running a pharmacy in Chicago where he had a building built for him in which he lured his victims to many of their deaths. In Chicago he changed his original name, Herman Webster Mudgett into Dr. Henry Howard Holmes. H.H Holmes is one of the worst serial killers, if not the worst, that ever lived because of the way he plotted to do what he wanted to and get away with it, scheming others and taking advantage of them, and finally because of all the murders he committed and how he went about doing them. Holmes seemed to be quite intelligent and carefully drew plans in his head to get what he wanted in regards to money, in getting help to do or get what he wanted and planning for the future. It had deceptive ledges and wooden sound windows assured by sheet irons. The building had more than 60 rooms and 51 entryways in which where were weirdly cut into different sections. The house had a number of strange things in his building such as trap entryways, rooms with no windows, questionable entries, camouflaged staircases, gutters sloping into the cellar and a particular staircase opening out more than a dangerous drop down to the back street in the rear of the building(Put in text
