Hiccup Horrendous Haddock is the main character in How to Train Your Dragon film. In this film, he lived in the Viking Village on the island of Berk. He worked as an apprentice of the blacksmith. He has the ability to craft object and weapon perfectly.His father was the chief of the Viking Village. His tribe was known as a strong dragon slayers and he wished to be one of the strong dragon slayers. Unfortunately, he did not has the strength like his father and other people in his tribe. That is why his father always prevent or stop him from being involved in combats such as killing dragons like his father and other people in his tribe did. Later, he befriend with Toothless while helping Toothless to fly again. After for a while, he got the right to kill the dragons as a graduation rite. However, he ran away together with the Toothless as he did not perform the graduation rite. While running away, he did not realize that his friend, Astrid followed him to the dragon’s nest. Hiccup distracted Astrid from going back to Viking for telling the villagers about the nest to prevent Toothless from being killed. After his father knew about his friendship with Toothless upon his graduation, he used Toothless to lead him and other dragon slayers to the dragon’s nest which full with parasitic dragons that killed other dragon whenever they did not get enough food. Worrying his father and other Vikings might be killed, he rode the dragon that all Vikings used in dragon training flew to the dragon’s nest.
