What would your life be like if you didn't have access to your dreams because of your race and gender? The book and movie named “Hidden Figures” is based on the real life experiences of three mathematicians at NASA. They worked on the project “Mercury” and the Apollo 11 flight to the moon. These missions helped America win the space race against Russia. Also, the movie and book Hidden Figures demonstrates how the three most brilliant and incredible African American women Katherine Globe Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson, who has the brains at NASA in the 1960’s. He was the first American manned orbital mission of the United States, He was launched into space with a spacecrafted called “Friendship 7.” He was supported by hundreds of NASA workers along with “human computers.” If it weren't for the brains of the intelligent, brilliant women Katherine Globe Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson, Glenn would have never experienced launching into space.
