Imagine a world where teenagers are playing violent games that turn into physical and dangerous realities. These are the disadvantages of teengaers playing these violent games. Teens should not play violent games because they are very dangerous for them and others near them. Secondly, it can also spark aggressive behaviors they didn’t have before and finally, violent games should not be played because they are based on scarring experiences that other people had to endure. Teens should not play violent games because it can be very dangerous for them and their peers. The article called “Shooting in the Dark '' written by Carey Benedict, explains how violent video games are affecting the teenagers that play them. Teens should not be playing violent video games because in paragraph 1 it says, ”...video gamers who seemed to be acting out some dark digital fantasy. It was as if all that exposure to computerized violence gave them the idea to go on a rampage — or at least fueled their urges.”(Benedict). This quote states how the violent video games that were played by these gamers are now wired to want to do dreadful things. These people start wanting to attack other people for enjoyment or to ease themselves from a stressful situation. When some people have a crisis and don’t know how to handle it, they will go out and do something stupid like shoot a bunch of people because that is something they do digitally every day. What the human brain will do, is interpret what they see and then learn how to replicate it. Well when a human learns about the “enjoyable” aspect of a violent game, they think that it is okay to do. A specific reason that teens should not be allowed to play violent games is because in the article “Violent Video Games May Stop Crime by Keeping Criminals Busy Playing Violent Video Games'', written by Dashevsky Evan, in paragraph 4 the FBI states, “There have been numerous studies attempting to find a link to the question of whether violent games do, in fact, correlate with real-life aggression.”(Dashevsky). In this piece of evidence it proves that there are studies going on to prove an increase of aggression in people that play these games. When people are dealing with a life crisis of some sort, they will try to escape reality and play these video games. However, the more realistic and violent these games are, the more aggression is sparked in the person as well. There has been research
