Ever since the day I caught my first fish, I knew I wanted to have a career that involves fish and their ecosystem. It was only recently that I narrowed it down to wanting a job designing fishing supplies such as rods, reels, and lures. Doing so requires a degree in mechanical engineering. In high school, I had a lot of struggles that affected my grades. As a result, I did not get accepted anywhere and ended up deciding to attend MiraCosta College. The step in my life is to transfer to one of my three dream schools: University of California Santa Barbara(UCSB), University of California San Diego(UCSD), and University of California Los Angeles(UCLA). I hope to attend one of these colleges within two to three years depending on how many classes I am required to take for my major. UCSB is a public university located in Santa Barbara, California on a cliffside overlooking the Pacific Ocean. In the 2016-2017 year, 24,346 students were enrolled at the school. It starts with me and my fellow graduates filling up the field. I fill in the middle seats with my fellow letter M last names. I am filled with a sense of pride and accomplishment. All of my hard work has led up to this very moment. Our black gowns with blue and gold accents will distinguish us from the rest of the people attending the ceremony. Included in these people are my mom, dad, sister, and grandparents. After receiving my diploma, I will get a feeling of déjà vu as the same thoughts I had during my high school graduation pop into my head. I cannot wait to experience what lies ahead but also realize I never appreciated my time that I had. Overall a certain feeling will overshadow the rest. No matter what bad has happened in the past, no matter the struggle, my goal of going through college is complete and I can finally move on to my next
